Terms and Conditions – Paw for Paws
These Terms and Conditions apply to all services provided by Paw for Paws. By booking any training session, class, or package, you agree to be bound by the following terms.
1. Bookings and Payment

-
Full payment is required at the time of booking to secure any private session, class, or training package.
-
Bookings are not confirmed until payment has been received in full.
-
Paw for Paws reserves the right to refuse or cancel any booking where these Terms and Conditions are not met.
2. Cancellations and Missed Sessions

-
Cancellations made less than 48 hours prior to a scheduled private training session will be charged in full.
-
Sessions cancelled within 48 hours cannot be transferred, rescheduled, or credited to another session.
-
No refunds will be made for missed sessions under any circumstances, except where required by UK consumer law.
3. Training Packages

-
Training packages must be completed within six (6) months from the date of purchase.
-
Any unused sessions after the six-month period will be forfeited.
-
No refunds, extensions, or credits will be provided for unused sessions beyond this period, except where required by law.
-
Sessions cannot be claimed once the package expiry period has passed.
4. Classes

-
Class bookings are non-refundable.
-
Missed classes cannot be transferred, rolled over, or made up at a later date.
-
No refunds or credits will be issued for missed classes, regardless of the reason, except where required under UK consumer law.
5. Health and Safety Requirements

-
All dogs attending Paw for Paws training must be:
-
Fully up to date with vaccinations
-
Regularly wormed
-
Regularly flea treated
-
-
Proof of vaccination may be requested at any time.
-
Dogs displaying signs of illness, injury, infectious disease, or parasites must not attend training & will be asked to leave if they do so.
-
Paw for Paws reserves the right to refuse entry or terminate training if a dog is deemed unwell or poses a health risk.
-
The Client acknowledges that where dogs are in close contact, including during training sessions and classes, there is an inherent risk of the transmission of infectious diseases.
-
While Paw for Paws requires dogs to be appropriately vaccinated, wormed, and flea treated, vaccinations reduce but do not eliminate the risk of illness.
-
By booking with Paw for Paws, the Client accepts and understands this risk.
-
In the event that a dog becomes ill during or following training, the Client agrees that no claim may be brought against Paw for Paws, except where illness is directly caused by Paw for Paws’ proven negligence or where liability cannot be excluded under UK law.
6. Behaviour, Disclosure, and Owner Responsibilities

-
Owners must fully disclose any known or suspected behavioural issues prior to booking, including but not limited to aggression, reactivity, anxiety, fearfulness, or nervousness.
-
If you are unsure of your dog’s behaviour or suitability for training, you must contact Paw for Paws before making any bookings.
-
Paw for Paws reserves the right to assess a dog’s suitability for training at any time.
-
Where Paw for Paws determines that a dog’s behaviour presents a risk to the trainer, other dogs, clients, or members of the public, the dog will no longer be permitted to participate in training.
-
In such circumstances, training will be cancelled with immediate effect, and no refund, credit, or rescheduling will be offered, except where required by law.
-
Owners remain legally responsible for the behaviour and control of their dog at all times, in accordance with the Dangerous Dogs Act 1991 and other relevant UK legislation.
8. Trainer Discretion and Weather Conditions

-
Paw for Paws reserves the right to refuse, modify, reschedule, or terminate training at any time where it is deemed unsafe, unsuitable, or not in the best interests of the dog, trainer, clients, or others.
-
This includes concerns relating to behaviour, health, welfare, owner conduct, or environmental conditions.
-
Paw for Paws reserves the right to cancel, postpone, or modify bookings where weather conditions may negatively impact safety or welfare.
-
Unsafe weather conditions include, but are not limited to:
-
Extreme heat
-
Below-freezing temperatures
-
Thunderstorms
-
Dangerously strong winds
-
-
Where sessions are cancelled by Paw for Paws due to unsafe weather, reasonable efforts will be made to reschedule or provide an alternative, without affecting statutory consumer rights.
9. Limitation of Liability

-
Paw for Paws will not be liable for any loss, damage, injury, illness, or death suffered by a dog, owner, or third party during or as a result of training, except where caused by Paw for Paws’ proven negligence or where liability cannot be excluded under UK law.
-
Participation in training is undertaken entirely at the owner’s own risk.
-
Paw for Paws holds appropriate public liability insurance; however, this does not remove or reduce the owner’s legal responsibility for their dog’s actions.

10. Acceptance of Terms

-
By booking, attending, or participating in any Paw for Paws service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions in full.
